NURTUREart is pleased to present Our Crazy Life, curated by Project Curate with Sorry Archive, and featuring works by: boys, Christiana Cefalu, Lila Cohen, Campy Dicks, Ashley Garrett, Katya Grokhovsky, Miao Jiaxin, Paul John, Hayley Martell, Azikiwe Mohammed, Chris Oh, Ryan Oskin, Megan Snowe, Frank Traynor, and Allison Wade.
Our Crazy Life is told in six chapters, each with its own characters and environment. Found objects, commissioned, and recent works are framed by a series of imagined narratives centering on personal relationships with objects of pride, fear, nostalgia, and value.
NURTUREart’s Project Curate is a year-long curatorial course with students of Juan Morel Campos High School in South Williamsburg. This year’s team of students worked with Sorry Archive (Claire Mirocha and Vanessa Thill). Sorry Archive is a platform for exhibitions that use narrative elements and format-based constraints to produce an ever-shifting series of events.
NURTUREart’s Education Program creates opportunities for artistic and curatorial collaborations with students of all ages through partnerships with NYC public schools and non-profit organizations.
