Now accepting artwork submissions for our upcoming Project Curate exhibition at NURTUREart Gallery.
Exhibition dates: May 26 to June 18, 2017.
NURTUREart’s Project Curate is a yearly curatorial residency with students of Juan Morel Campos High School in South Williamsburg. This year the Project Curate team is organizing an exhibition with guidance from curator and arts organizer PJ Gubatina Policarpio.
We are a group of empowered young people. Over the last few months, we have been looking at art and exploring ideas that relate to our experiences, reflect our community, and are relevant to us today. We want others to see what we are seeing and to feel what we are feeling.
As Project Curate, we would like to invite artists to submit works in response to these questions:
What does power look like?
How does power transform people?
Do heroes exist?
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply. A small stipend will be awarded to selected artists.
- JPG file(s) of your work, or a description of a proposed work that does not yet exist
- A document with all artwork details (title, date, medium, dimensions)
- A brief statement about the submitted artworks
- CV or biography with a link to your website (if applicable)
Send submissions to: projectcurate@nurtureart.
Questions: please contact Molly O’Brien at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
